Well, what do you want to know about me ? As you have come to this part of the site, you want to know every thing?. For about 25 years, i have been hit by the " MAGIC BUG". I used to watch every magic show on television, learning from what i saw. Around the age of eight, i would put on magic show's in my front room, normaly about 10 minutes long. I would go to the libary every chance i had to find books on magic. I would read as many books i could, reading every word on each page.
In Colchester, i would go with my parents, to the joke shop ( which has since closed down) and buy magic tricks. As soon as i got home, i would try them out, make sure i could perform them right. I would then show my mum and see what she thought. After many many years my skill's in magic improved. I started to build my own magic effects and illusion and also designed them. I would always try and find out how a magic trick worked so i could see how it was made, what was the thinking behind the effect. Since my young days, i have designed and built 100's of illusions and effects for magicians all over the world. Many magicians come to me for advice on the best way to perform a magic trick, or just a chat on new ideas. My son philip, who is eight, now performs magic as well. He has appeared on the west cliff theatre stage many times now in his own act. He come's along to many of my own shows so he can learn the craft. I worked in magic city play area in clacton on sea between 1991 - 1996. I would perform around 1130 half hour magic shows a year. This does not count all the shows i did out side of magic city.
I also perform CLOSE UP MAGIC for private partys etc. I have performed for many famous people as well. My close up skills have took me to many places in the world and evrery corner of the uk. I have also done TV shows as well. The best being a spot on the JERRY ATRIC SHOW which was shown on channel 5 a couple of years ago.
A new act i have been working on for a while is called " DARK'O MAGIC". This act is very dark. It has some magic which is very hard to explain. Eating razor blades, contacting the spirt's, playing a dangerous game with a broken bottle and also pushing a very large, sharp knife right through my arm.
With this show, every thing you will see on stage( Illusions, props, tables, sets etc) will all be made by lee. Using his knowlage of stage and design, lee will not only be performing but also mixing all the music you will hear on the day. Also, stage direction, mapping and lighting & sound will also be some thing that lee will have his hand in.
